Economic Development Commission: meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Open Space Land Acquisition Committee: meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
Selectmen and Board meetings: are
open to the public and occur in the Town Office Building unless
otherwise noted.
Hebron Harvest Fair: Starts the 1st Thursday after Labor Day Weekend and runs through to Sunday. For more information; concessions 228-0892, agriculture 228-0542.
Streets: Any person who parks a motor vehicle within the limits of any street or highway maintained by the Town of Hebron during and for five hours after any winter storms, so as to obstruct snow removal operations, shall be fined $10.00 and shall be liable for any necessary towing costs. Drainage from cellar or curtain drains may not be discharged on town roads or into town sewers. Do not place leaves or other debris on road or in drainage ditches.
Waste Disposal/Transfer Station Area: Open Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Note: During daylight savings time, the transfer station will stay open to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.) 550 Old Colchester Rd., 228-2871. Closed official Town Holidays. Permit stickers must be affixed to all vehicles. Stickers may be obtained at the Town Office Building or at the Transfer Station with proof of residency. Drivers licenses and registration must be provided in order to obtain sticker. Recycling at the Transfer Station is mandatory. Garbage must be separated from glass, metal, etc. Newspapers must be tied in bundles. Material must be put in designated areas. There is a charge for the disposal of bulky waste. Demolition Material and General Debris, $20.00 per cubic yard. Pick-up with six foot bed considered 1 1/2 cubic yards. Pick-up with eight foot bed considered 2 1/2 cubic yards. Trunk load is considered 1/4 cubic yards. Large Appliances: $5.00 per item, $13.00 per item requiring removal of refrigerant. Furniture: $5.00 per item. Tires: $1.00 each up to 16" diameter, $3.00 each 16 1/2" to 19" diameter, $7.00 each 20" and over. No large off road tires or tires on rims accepted. Waste materials must be from property within the town of Hebron. The CREOC Household Hazardous Waste facility in Manchester is now open on Olcott Street, Call for current hours and dates which it is open to the public.
