Part-time Library Assistant II
The Douglas Library of Hebron seeks a patron-centered, technologically savvy individual that can work independently and with others. This position requires the ability to answer questions in person, on the phone and though digital means. The Library Assistant II will need to interact with all age levels, must possess an above average understanding of library operations, be able to give and take direction and be able to open and close the library. Must be comfortable with MS Office and have basic database knowledge. Those candidates with a background working with children or experience with programming for children will be highly considered. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience preferred. Starting wage is $11.25 per hour. Nights and Saturdays a must. 10-19 hours a week. Anticipated Opening Parks Division – Seasonal Park Maintainer I Parks & Recreation Department
The Town of Hebron Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a full time seasonal Maintainer I for the Parks Division. The selected individual will perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor tasks for all properties under Parks and Recreation management. Specific duties will include operation of equipment, painting, field preparation, mowing, landscape, carpentry, and other related duties as assigned by the Parks Maintainer Crew Leader or Parks & Recreation Director. Qualifications included, but are not limited to, related experience and a general knowledge of tools, equipment, and work methods and practices used in the general maintenance and improvement of public parks and recreation fields, facilities and buildings. Applicants must be responsible and reliable. All applicants must be able to pass criminal records background check. The selected individual must possess a valid Connecticut Driver’s License. Before and After School Childcare Worker
Hebron Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Before and After School Childcare Worker to act as a positive role model and provide guidance and leadership. Under the direction of the Hebron Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator the before and after school staff is responsible for planning activities, serving snacks and interacting with children and their families. Applicants must be responsible and reliable and have a valid Connecticut driver license. All applicants must be able to pass a criminal records background check.
